( Character's Name ) : Damara Megido
( Character's Age ) : Presumably 9 solar sweeps (19-ish years). Dead (but dream bubble living) for a ridiculously long time.
( Series ) : Homestuck
( Canon Point ) : A6I3 Flash Game #3
( Playability ) : Roxy and Damara have literally no reason to interact. The only thing they could possibly even have to talk about would be just how anime she is and how much that might get Dirk's attention but that's literally it. She has no idea who any of these pre-scratch trolls are, nor would she really care. Damara's only interest in her would be her relation to Rose, but really, she'd rather interact with the human who thinks she's cute.
( History ) :
Boom
( Personality ) :
Once upon a time, Damara was a meek and quiet girl. But everything changed when the fire nation attacked.
I mean--
According to Aranea, Damara really was meek once. She kept mostly to herself and her colony of Lost Weaboos, until one Rufioh Nitram entered into her life. Here she found someone she could actually communicate with, who understood her accent, and who seemed to genuinely like her. They were even flushed for a while, up until they entered the game. It was around that time that Damara found out about Rufioh and Horuss spending more and more time together. That's when things started to change.
She was fine, for the most part; hurt, betrayed, but she fell back into being quietly upset about his stabbing her through the heart. Damara could have very well persisted like this, just silently throwing a pity party for herself, had Meenah not come in and added both the fuel and the fire to the whole situation. You see, it wasn't Rufioh that set off Crazy Damara (or at least, it wasn't his direct actions that did it, but more the result of his actions), it was Meenah's constant belittling of her, her poking and prodding and making sure that Damara and everyone else was always aware of Rufioh's infidelities that did it.
You never poke a sleeping dragon.
Gone was the quiet Lost Weaboo. In her place is the Damara that the rest of the trolls of her session have become incredibly wary of. She can be violent when provoked, and an incredibly skilled fighter to boot, if the fact that she was able to kill Meenah is any indication. However, violence is not her default. In all actuality, subtle backhanded tricks and ploys are more her speed. It's said that she spent most of their session flitting around the timeline and messing with the others' lives.
Her ability to hold a grudge seems to span the centuries, however. Damara's first act of revenge was to paralyze Rufioh from the neck down (something she probably feels was unfortunately fixed in their afterlife. How unfair.). Even in death, she continues to do what she can to leave him feeling uncomfortable and ill-at-ease. It seems a favorite past time of hers is kidnapping his lusus and stuffing him into treasure chests so that Rufioh can't find him. It's a small prank, but there's only so much you can do when everyone's already dead.
The thing most people will encounter with Damara is her nigh incomprehensible lewd statements she makes to pretty much everyone--except to the one person who can actually understand her: Rufioh (aside from demanding sexual favors for helping him the iceberg she put in the way, but it's one line out of several in the conversation). This asks the question: is Damara actually that sexually perverse, or does she simply say these things because no one can understand a word that she says?
She obviously has some sexual perversion, or she wouldn't have said anything to Rufioh at all about favors, but the less someone is able to understand her, the more overt she becomes. Rufioh, who can understand every word, got little to no sexual remarks thrown his way. Meenah, who can understand some of what she's saying but very little, got significantly more. Horuss, who can get maybe one or two words out of an entire sentence, got it the worst. Confusing and flustering others seems to bring her joy.
If nothing else, the girl has a colorful and creative imagination. She also has a tendency toward smoking weed, apparently.
Her motives for most of her other actions, including being excited to help with the Scratch, are vague at best. She has apparently told Rufioh in the past that she wants to serve Lord English (much as her alternate self did), and even offers to help him with his Horuss problem by bringing LE Horuss's soul--something to which Rufioh vehemently protests, and Damara actually lets the subject drop.
She's still hurt by everything Rufioh did to her, but it really seems as though there's still a piece of her that deeply cares for him. He's the only one she'll comply with and do favors for, and even the chopsticks in her hair are brown and curve like the Taurus symbol. Rufioh still holds a place in her blood-pusher, even if there's too much crazy piled on top of it for most people to see.
( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
+ Her ability to give approximately zero fucks (about most things: see weaknesses)
+ Manipulative (with those who don't know her well)
+ Making people uncomfortable
+ Being the Witch of Time
- Reminders of what happened with Rufioh
- Easily riled up
- Meenah's big fat mouth
- Being the Witch of Time (it's hard not playing with it ok)
( Other Important Facts ) :
SHE DOES NOT ACTUALLY SPEAK JAPANESE. I already plan to make this a point in any interactions where her accent will come into play (ie any time she's not shouting broken English at people).
